Mah Jong is a beloved game in both Asian and Western cultures. Mah Jong is said to have originated in the Court of the King of Wu. Within this court lived a beautiful woman in seclusion. To escape boredom, she invented a game using carved domino-shaped pieces made from ivory and bamboo. For many years, Mah Jong was a game reserved for royalty.
