Match flavors on the ever-changing cone or freeze out your competition with action cards that change flavors, swap your hands, or wipe the cone clean. Be the first to empty your hand or get stuck, holding the mess!

Who can play? 2-7 players Ages 8 and up 5-15 minutes 

How to play

In melted players make one big messy ice cream cone made up of three parts: the top the middle and bottom of the cone. Players add to the cone with a matching flavor card, or an action card that can change the active flavor, discard the whole cone, or swap everyone’s hands.

Set up

Shuffle every card into a deck and deal seven cards to each player. Keep your hand hidden from other players! Place the remaining deck in the center of the table as the drop pile. The player whose birthday is closest goes first, starting the ice cream cone with a flavor card from their hand. 

Gameplay

On each player’s turn:

1. Play a flavor card that matches the active flavor into its corresponding position or on the cone.
2. OR Play an action card and follow its instructions. If you don’t have any playable cards in your hand, draw one card from the drop pile.
3. If you still can’t play a card, your turn ends and play moves clockwise to the next player. 

How to win

The first player to get rid of all of their cards wins! If the entire deck is played before anyone eliminates their hand, the player with a few cards is the winner! 

Action cards!

Cherry on top: Add this card to the top of the cone and play one more card from your hand.

Napkin: Clean up your mess! If the ice cream cone has a top, middle, and bottom, you may use the napkin to discard all of it and play a flavor card from your hand to start a new cone.

Little spoon: Replace the current ice cream flavor with a new flavor card from your hand. 

Melted: All players pass their hand to the left or right. The player who played the melted card, decides the direction.
