Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY Holiday Commander Box League offers an exciting Sealed league-style Commander experience. Players buy a Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY Play Booster box, build a 60-card Commander deck from it, and play league matches over the course of our two events: Saturday Dec. 6th and Sunday Dec. 7th.

While games use standard Commander rules, deck construction follows unique Commander Box League guidelines below.

Commander Box League Deck Rules

After players open their Play Booster box, they construct a 60-card Commander deck from the contents. Buy-a-Box and Holiday Commander Box League promos may not be used in deck building.

• Decks may include multiple copies of cards opened from the Play Booster box.
• Any legal commander opened is allowed.
• Color identity rules in deck building are ignored; players may build decks with any colors they want, regardless of their commander's color identity. Note: commander color identity still applies when cards refer to color identity (for example, with Arcane Signet).

Players may adjust their decks between games using cards from their Play Booster box.

Pairing and Gameplay

Players form 3-4 player multiplayer “pods” to play with the decks they’ve constructed.

Normal Commander rules apply for these games (e.g., 40 starting life, commander damage tracking, etc.).

Before you play…

There are a few things you need to prepare beforehand:

• Our community is super friendly to newer players, but this is not a learn-to-play event. Please complete the excellent, free tutorial on Magic Arena to learn the basics so you can hit the ground running!
• The Wizards Companion App (or the email address of your Wizards account). Play Arena? Great! Just use the email you signed up with!
• Your event ticket. We recommend buying in advance; we have limited space and pre-registering guarantees your seat. Can't make it? You can get a refund in store credit.

Cancellations/No-Shows

• Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before the event begins. If you are late you risk forfeiting your spot to waitlisted participants.
• If after purchasing a ticket you can no longer make the event, please cancel your ticket so that we can bring someone in off the waitlist!
• Cancelled / no-show tickets will be refunded in store credit only via digital gift card minus processing fees, and forfeit all promos and prizes.

Store Information

• KN95 masks are optional and provided at no charge upon request.
• Gamelandia has plenty of free parking!
