Choose your companion and set out together for a special Two-Headed Giant release event celebrating Magic: The Gathering® | The Hobbit™. Build your decks from a shared pool, combine your strengths, and face rival fellowships in a cooperative battle for the treasures of Erebor.

Whether you’re a clever burglar, a stalwart dwarf, or simply along for the adventure, teamwork will be your greatest weapon. Bring a partner—or arrive ready to be paired—and prepare for an unexpected journey through Middle-earth!

Play, plan, and battle as a team!

The Two-Headed Giant format is like tandem sky-diving. As long as one player knows what is going on, the other can come along for the ride. Each two-player teams shares a starting 30 life and takes their turn simultaneously.

It's great for these groups: buddies, couples, and parent/kid combos.

Test your deck-building skills by constructing two 40-card decks from the contents of your and your partner’s Sealed Pool (12x packs total). You'll use these decks to compete in a friendly yet competitive Sealed Deck tournament.

Then, play 3 best-of-one matches with a 50 minute match timer. The “Swiss” tournament structure means you’ll be paired against players with the same number of wins so far each round.

Before you play…

There are a few things you need to prepare beforehand:

• Our community is super friendly to newer players, but this is not a learn-to-play event. Please complete the excellent, free tutorial on Magic Arena to learn the basics so you can hit the ground running!
• Your event ticket. We recommend buying in advance; we have limited space and pre-registering guarantees your seat. Can't make it? You can get a refund in store credit.

Cancellations/No-Shows

• Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before the event begins. If you are late you risk forfeiting your spot to waitlisted participants.
• If after purchasing a ticket you can no longer make the event, please cancel your ticket so that we can bring someone in off the waitlist!
• Cancelled / no-show tickets will be refunded in store credit, and forfeit all promos and prizes.

Store Information

• KN95 masks are optional and provided at no charge upon request.
• Gamelandia has plenty of free parking!
